Maggie's Chase 10k and 5k

Race Date: 09 November 2025

The Maggie's Chase 10k and 5k races are new events, developed as fundraisers for the Maggie's Centre at the Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert. Both routes are out and backs on quiet country roads and farm tracks north of Larbert, with the 10k route needing a last-minute reworking due to a local farmer ploughing up the last part of the route. The event was well organised, especially for a first time event. 

Three Harriers made the trip, with John Myles and Nicola Watson taking on the 10k, and Fiona McDonald taking on the 5k. John was first Harrier home in 48.50, with Nicola not far behind in 51.54. Fiona finished the 5k in 25.07, although it should be noted that the route as measured on her Garmin was longer than 5k, and her actual best 5k time was 23.05.
