Bishop Hill race

The Bishop Hill race is a short sharp up-and-down event, familiar to those of us old enough to remember the 'old' Devils Burdens race. Starting just outside Scotlandwell, it climbs steeply north up to White Craigs, with a helter-skelter descent back into the woods and the finish. The race covers 4km and climbs 300m over the open hillside.
Thre Harriers took on the race, with a terrific set fo results. Ralph McInally was second overall, finishing in 20.23. Second Harrier was Calum McBean, in fifth place overall and first U18 athlete, in 22.20 and third Harrier was Hanna McInally, second woman and 19th overall, in a time of 24.40.
The race was won by David Elder in 19.55 and the first woman was Stephanie Johnson of Kinross Road Runners in 24.20.
