Ben Sheann hill race

Billed as "the stocky little brother of the Stuc a' Chroin 5000", the Ben Sheann hill race is the fifth of the Bog and Burn Wednesday evening series of hill races. Five Harriers made the short trip to Strathyre on a hot and sunny evening for this steep 3.4k up and down, with 400m ascent.

First Harrier home was Jonathan Turnbull in 4th position overall, 1st MV40 in a time of 30.38. Next to finish was Nick Gough in 9th position, 2nd MV40 in 33.51, followed by Dave Dowse, 25th position, in 37.36, Mathias Scholer Field, 32nd, 41.30, and Mike Thomson, 34th, 43.00.

The race was won by Alistair Thornton of Ochil Hill Runners in a zippy 26.38. There were 54 finishers.
