The Two Breweries race is a classic of the Scottish hill running scene. Starting at the historic Traquair House near Peebles, the race covers a distance of about 30 km on mixed and often challenging terrain, with a challenging 1500m of ascent, heading west to Broughton. As the name suggests, it starts and finishes at two breweries.
Jonathan Turnbull was the first Harriers finisher, in a time of 3.33.59, in 24th position, (7th M40). Jim Reid followed in a time of 3.43.58 in 28th position (9th M40). In 39th position, Graeme Warren finished in 3.56.17 (11th M40), with Dave Dowse completing the Harriers quartet in a time of 4.07.28 in 50th position (14th M40).
The race was won by Andrew Gilmore of Highland Hill Runners in a time of 3.06.26. There were 116 finishers.
