Balmullo Trail Race

The Balmullo trail race is a scenic 9 km summer trail race in Fife, following countryside paths and tracks from Balmullo to Lucklaw Hill and back, as part of Fife Athletic Club’s Midweek Series. Thanks to Nicola Watson for the following race report: On Thursday night Morris Roberts and I travelled to deepest Fife for the Balmullo Trail Race. Race conditions were perfect, cool, clear with no wind. There was a good crowd there, it’s always a brilliant atmosphere as it’s the last of the Fife Midweek Series. No prizes, but cake afterwards, all for £5.
Morris finished in 20th place overall in a time of 36:35; and Nicola in 64th, 2nd F50, in 46:12.
The race was won by David Webster of Dundee Road Runners in a zippy 28.18, and the women's race was won by Twig Barber of Falkland Trail Runners in 35.04
