The Trailspire Ultra is a 6 hour ultra laps race, in which competitors run long or short laps of Callendar Park, better known as the venue for the Scottish national Cross-Country Championships. Thanks to Kay Grenfell for this report: Myself and Josie ran the Trailspire 6 hour Ultra yesterday. We both managed to pass the 30 mile mark before the clock hit the 6 hour mark. The weather was kinder than we expected and we both enjoyed the day. I thought the route was varied and challenging enough so that it didn’t get boring, which I was very relieved with!
Kay completed 7 large laps and 4 small laps, covering 52.38 km in 5.58.32, and Josie completed 6 large laps and 7 small laps, covering 48.54 km in 5.52.31.
