The Crieff 10k is a mixed terrain race on trails up Laggan Hill and along Lady Mary's Walk. This year, the race featured as the Scottish Mid-trail championship race. In addition to the 10k race, there was an accompanying 5k race for U14, U16 and U18 athletes.
Thanks to Monica Thomson for the following race report: Thank you to everyone who made it happen! A team effort, no less, with particular mention to Ruth, Anna and Phil who helped pull things together at the final stages. Herculean efforts from the Catering Team! Thank you to all who baked / donated and then stayed for the big tidy up.
All marshals were greatly appreciated out on the course / at the carparking areas! Strimmers / tail runners / on the day set up & operations people / registration and timing of 5k and junior mile / first aid / finish area facilitators.
Several of our club members also ran - special mention to Dave Torgersen winning the MV70 event prize and (and a quite unexpected U16 gold medal presented by Scottish Athletics too…). First local male was Andrew Grant. An SA team prize also for our Strathearn Harrier men, Andrew, James and Peter.
