Typical of Ochils races, the Maddy Moss features brutally steep ascents, followed by helter skelter descents. Many thanks to Ali Cunningham for the following race report: Just three Harriers faced the killer Law and scorching heat for this ‘fun’ evening’s run in Tillicoultry. 2.5 km of unrelenting uphill on the Law was uplifted by the supporting McInallys and Davy the music man; then a further 1.3km of climb to the top of Ben Cleugh. By this stage I was questioning my life choices, especially when I realised the winners were finishing…. But then there was 6km of fabulous hill running with wonderful views and my spirits were lifted! Thought I might get under 90 minutes but that last km downhill was treacherous! Hanna had a superb run and finished in about 65 mins, and was First Lady - an amazing run. Morris was back in about 75 mins and loved every minute…. and I was about 94 mins.
