The Edinburgh marathon is a popular big-city marathon, with a fast, flat route that winds from the centre of the city down to the coast, with a long out-and-back along the East Lothian coast, finishing in Musselburgh.
Three Harriers took on the race this year, in hot conditions. Thanks to Mags Gough for this race report: Hot hot hot! Edinburgh marathon day finally arrived for three harriers today. A baking hot day with clear blue skies and next to no wind led to tough conditions for today's marathon. Monica Warren had an absolute blinder coming home in 4:15:21. Morris Roberts showed us how it's done with a time of 3:27:02. And I was delighted, given the conditions, to meet my target of sub 5 hours at 4:59:02.
