The Isle of Jura Fell Race is a Scottish classic, covering 28 km with about 2,370 m of climbing across seven summits, including the Paps of Jura. It is widely described as a severe test of hillcraft, endurance, and navigation, and is regarded as one of the toughest races in British hill running at that distance. Four Harriers tackled the challenge, and all excelled in their performance:
13th Harris Pagett 3:37:21 (2nd MU23)
33rd Jonathan Turnbull 3:59:46 (2nd M40)
56th Harrison Cunnah 4:27:23
129th Dave Dowse 5:32:21
(out of 237 starters)
The race was won by Luke Fisher of Carnethy in a time of 3.13.38. In the women's race, Naomi Lang, also of Carnethy, set a new women's record, beating Jasmin Paris' 2015 record of 3:38:43 by 41 seconds, to finish in an impressive 15th position overall.
