Kinnoull Hill Race (Thursday, Perth).

One of the cheapest races in the Scottish race calendar, the Kinnouul hill race follows a scenic route around the trails on Kinnoull Hill in Perth. This year's race featured in our club championship. Thanks to Graeme Warren for the following race report: 22 Strathearn runners took to a muggy start line at Kinnoull this evening for the ever popular and (relatively) pleasant Kinnoull Hill Race. The forecast rain stayed away and the trails were lovely and dry. If we were being really fussy, it was perhaps a little warm.
Jonathan Marks finished in a strong 2nd place, with Hanna McInally going one better as first female. Fiona Macdonald rounded off the female podium in a great 3rd place too. Second Harrier home was young gun Calum (Junior), who had a good tussle with a Dundee runner for much of the race. I managed first V40 but other category places are currently unknown (not least because of a spreadsheet mix up in the Vet categories) so I suspect that a few other Strathearn runners will find themselves in strong places in their category once results are published. Lovely to see some many Strathearn runners at our Club Champs races - it makes for a great start line photo!

The race was won by Ross Allan in a time of 27.28, and Hanna's winning time was 33.07.
