Three Harriers made it to Dunkeld for the Deuchary Canter, the second in the Highland Boundary series. The race is a challenging 18k trail race, starting from Polney Loch, following a meandering route through the trees up and over Deuchary Hill with 800m of ascent. Route-finding has been known to be an issue in the past.
First Harrier home was Mattias Schøler Field in 2.06.30 for 30th position. Nicola Watson was our only woman in the race, finishing in 2.10.12 (2nd FV50), and Gerard Chouet made a welcome trip south to finish in 2.12.12 (4th MV50).
The race was won by John Yells of Highland Hill Runners in 1.20.48, and the women’s race was won by Shona Robertson of Shettleston Harriers in 1.44.25.
